Holiday Dental Marketing Ideas

4 Holiday Marketing Ideas for Your Dental Practice

We know that the holiday season is always a busy time for everyoneso why shouldn’t it also be a busy time for your dental practice?

Truth is, the majority of dental practices don’t take the time to come up with holiday marketing ideas that can turn leads into patients and increase their revenue in the process.

But what kinds of holiday marketing campaigns are the best fit, not only for your practice but for the holiday at hand?

Keep on reading this post to find out.

1. Host a Charity Event

It’s important to remember that not all of your dental practice’s holiday marketing ideas need to take place online.

Especially as a dental practice, you need to make it a point to show that you’re not only involved in your community but also that you want to be able to give back to it.

Plus, in today’s world, the consumer is more focused than ever before on working with companies and practices who make charitable giving a part of what they do.

We love the idea of hosting a charity event (it also works for any holiday throughout the year, not just the biggest ones!).

Pick a cause in your local area that’s near and dear to your heart; perhaps you want to be able to provide a new basketball court for your neighborhood park, or maybe you want to put together Christmas packages for children in need.

Whatever you choose, invite your patients, team, and other local business owners.

Not only is this an excellent way to boost your reputation in the industry, but it also allows you to network with other local business owners and keeps your name in the minds of your patients.

To make sure that everyone goes home remembering you? Give out small gift bags of promotional items. These can include things like magnetic calendars printed with your name and contact information, branded keychains, and of course, branded dental kits!

2. Create a Holiday Hashtag

It’s no secret that social media is incredibly important to the overall success of your practice, and while you need to focus on creating excellent social media content throughout the year, you can pay special attention to creating holiday social media campaigns.

Pick a hashtag that’s relevant to both your practice and the holiday at hand. For example, #DreamingOfAWhiteChristmas works for both the holiday and the fact that, for the month of December, you’re offering a percentage off of cosmetic dental whitening.

Make sure that you participate in the comments section as much as possible. A minimum of once a day, comb through your hashtag to see if there are any new uploads and even consider sharing the posts to your own account.

3. Embrace Holiday Promotion Ideas

Is Valentine’s Day coming up? If so, then we know that your patients will want to look their best for their dates!

You can use the upcoming holiday to announce special promotions that run only for a limited time. For example, to continue with the Valentine’s Day theme, you could offer a “for you and your sweetheart” teeth cleaning deal.

If a patient is able to turn their loved one into a referral for your dental practice, then perhaps they’ll both get a percentage off of their next cleaning.

For Mother’s Day, you could offer a deal on cosmetic services as a part of a “Mother’s Day Teeth to Toes” package. You could even partner up with a local spa or other business to cross-promote one another’s Mother’s Day offerings.

It’s best to run these promotions only for about three days, so focus on generating lots of buzz by creating email campaigns in the weeks leading up to the holiday deals.

4. New Year, New E-Newsletter

The last item on our list of some of our favorite dental practice holiday marketing ideas?

Think about how you can make the most of the fact that many people like to make resolutions and turn over a new leaf at the start of the New Year. Perhaps they’ve decided to take better care of themselves.

Maybe they’ve been afraid of going to the dentist, or perhaps they’ve just neglected their oral hygiene.

Whatever the case, you can use the New Year as a way to leverage patients and leads by getting them to sign up for your year-long e-newsletter. Tell them that every month, you plan to send out a newsletter that is packed with the best oral hygiene tips.

The newsletter will tell them about the best foods to eat and avoid, help them to make sure they’re brushing the right way, and explain common dental problems.

Of course, it will also remind them to book cleanings and other appointments, and let them know about any deals you have going on!
