Likes vs. Follower Engagement

Likes vs. Follower Engagement

Gaining “likes” for your business’s page is important. Although “likes” help, understanding the importance of fan engagement is imperative to effectively using social media. It is very important to provide content that is both interesting to your current followers and can attract new followers if this content is shared. Content that is personal and tailored to your followers can grow engagement greatly. For example, Dentists may want to provide information about birthdays of staff members to inspire likes and comments. Setting up online contests are also a great way to get your customers to follower you online as well as get them to interact on your page. We can do this for you! Let’s talk about setting this up. Giving away a low cost item like a $25 gift card can largely effect the effectiveness of your profile. Be sure to provide as much content to your social media managers as possible so you can “move beyond the like!”

Facebook Recommendations-

There is a feature that is new to Facebook that can help drive traffic to your page. Reviews are a very important part of your business’s online listings. Reviews can be a big determinant in how your business appears online. Positive reviews can increase the likelihood of attracting new customers and increase the effectiveness of your online presence. Facebook Recommendations are reviews, similar to the ones that appear on sites like Yelp or Google Places. Your followers are able to assign a star-rating as well as write comments about your business. This is a big deal for several reasons. Along with appearing on the page for your business, they are also viewable on your follower’s wall. Encouraging customers to give a recommendation on your page can drive more traffic to your page as well as generate likes and post engagement. These reviews are likely to show up on search in the future, which will make it even more important to keep your reviews positive.
