Marketing Strategies to Grow Your Dental Practice

Different yet complementary, push marketing and pull marketing can and should be used together.

There are two main marketing strategies used to get new business. One is called “push” marketing and the other is “pull” marketing. The difference between them is how you attract potential patients to your practice.

Push marketing involves taking the service to the patients directly, or “pushing” the services to them. This kind of marketing is geared toward utilizing mainly traditional methods.

Pull marketing can be defined as an indirect way of advertising and often incorporates new types of marketing. Pull marketing is more effective than push marketing because the patients come to you rather than you trying to convince them. You are magnetically attracting these people by your marketing message and method. When done correctly, you have already pre-qualified your prospect. They have made the decision to learn more about you and your services.
