Making Use of Online Listings for Your Dental Practice

Are you taking advantage of the features on your business’ online listings?

Sites offering online listings for business, such as Google, Yelp, Facebook, Foursquare, Bing and many others, are excellent ways to boost your online presence, redirect potential patients to your website, and allow your practice to incorporate a review system.

Here are some reasons why should start listing your practice online.

1. Your practice will be more visible online. By listing your practice on different sites you will begin to show up in peoples searches. When people click on one of your listings it will help them get a better understanding of your practice and offer them ways to contact you, which brings us to our second point…

2. You will be easy to contact. When you create business listings you will be filling out information about your practice, including contact information. The more sites you create a listing on, the better chance of being contacted by someone who found you on that site.

3. Your practice can build credibility with reviews. Not only do listing sites allow you to add your information, they also allow patients to leave reviews. By encouraging patients to leave reviews you can build trust with potential patients who are searching online.

There are a ton of listing websites that your business should take advantage of, you might even have a listing for your practice and not even know! For example, if you google your practice there may be a page that has been automatically created. Some of the information may be outdated on these sites and need to be updated. The listing should also be claimed so you can control the information.
