Online Reputation Is More Important Than Ever

Do you know what people are saying about your practice online?

Online reviews can either work to your advantage or kill your practice.

For example, there was a dentist I searched for online and, although the practice showed up on Google maps, there were 8 reviews, all negative. It may be great to come up in the top search results, but when you have reviews that are all negative, the chances that someone sees that and still schedules an appointment is unlikely.

This was one of the reasons why we decided to include online reputation marketing as a service back in 2012. 

Your reputation is important to the health of your practice. This is also something that needs to be continually monitored, which is not always easy to do when you are busy with patients all day. With online reviews being a powerful tool that can persuade someone to schedule an appointment or look for someone else, you need to be sure that your reviews are pushing people to you, not away.

Another issue we commonly see is when dentists use tools such as Lighthouse or Demandforce. These tools collect patient reviews but do not advertise or distribute the positive reviews to popular online review sites like Facebook, Google+, or Yelp, which come up in search when someone is looking for a dentist.
