Facebook is one of the best ways to connect personally with clients and patients and attract more of the same. But, it’s easy to overlook some of the important features Facebook offers while you are busy posting and building your connections.

Here are five tips and tricks you may want to put in place to maximize Facebook.

  1. Use your photo section. For any business, you can use photos as a way to be fun and creative. This will help you better connect with your customer base and encourage their engagement.
  2. Tag a person within your comment. You can mention people who have commented on a post originating from your page. When your fans like or comment when you mention them, it gives your free exposure to their friends network.
  3. Get connected with Facebook’s mobile messaging app. Facebook has a separate mobile app for their messaging tool. This mobile app is completely dedicated to their messaging platform. With this app, you can stay better connected with your customers.
  4. Download Facebook’s video chat feature. Guess what? You no longer need to be logged into a bulky video chat software program to view which of your business connections or customers is online. Facebook now offers you an easier way to chat one-on-one.
  5. Make use of video. Got a lot to say? Record a short video clip using your phone or computer webcam and upload it to Facebook.
    -Click Photo/Video at the top the newsfeed or your timeline.
    -Select the video you want to post.
  6. Let your fans know about an event. If you have an event you want to tell your fans about, use Facebook’s event page.
    -On the left hand side, under your profile pictures, click “events”.
    -Then click “create event”.
    -Just fill in the details and post.
  7. Broadcast LIVE on Facebook. With Facebook’s live video feature, you can now create videos right from your Facebook app or from your desktop.
    How to broadcast on your mobile app:
    -To access live on your Facebook app, click the “live” button directly under where you write a status.
    -Allow Facebook to access camera and microphone.
    -If you are creating a live video for a business page, make the video public
    -Write a description of what you are broadcasting.
    -Click “Go Live” to begin.
    -When you are done click “finish” and the live feed will end and save the video to your Facebook page.
    How to broadcast on your computer:
    -On your business page, under the blank box used for posting a status there will be a “Start Live Video” icon, click on that.
    -Write your description of the broadcast.
    -Allow Facebook to access camera and microphone.
    -Click “Go Live”.
    -When completed, click “Finish”.
    -The video will be saved to your business page.
