Utilizing video for your practice is important, and delivering content through video has become one of the most popular and effective ways to market your business. Through informative videos that can be used to educate patients or video reviews of your practice, this medium offers a way to spread your content in a compelling way.

Where to post

You want your videos to remain online in a place where they can be easily found. Creating a YouTube channel is the best way to accomplish this. YouTube acts as a search engine as well as a library for your video content to be stored. When done correctly, your videos will come up in search on YouTube when someone looks for a topic or question you have made a video on.

You can also make a link to your video and share it on other social media sites, emails, or embed the video on your site. You want to be able to share your content in as many places as you can in order to reach different people, such as your Facebook fans, email list contacts, and prospects searching online. And because Google owns YouTube, content that is on YouTube tends to show up in Google searches also.

Some of you may already know about why YouTube is important but are stuck on what you should be making videos about. Below, we go over a couple of good topics that dentists can use as ideas for video marketing.

At Creativedge, part of our video marketing strategy for our clients includes taking reviews from their patients and making them into videos. A video that includes a review left by a patient is much more engaging than simply copying and pasting a review to your social media accounts.

According to Marketing Land:

90% of consumers say their buying decisions are influenced by online reviews.

Repurpose blogs

Another idea for video content is to take your old blogs and make them into videos. Take the main information from your blog and compress it into a short, informative video to share online.

Frequently Asked Questions

As a dentist, you probably receive a lot of questions from patients about different topics. If you notice patients asking you about a certain subject or issue, use this to your advantage and create a video answering these questions. Not only will your current patients appreciate it, but people are probably searching online for these things as well. Having your video show up in search is a great way to build trust and credibility with prospects.

Video marketing has an important role in your overall marketing strategy. Video gives dentists the ability to build trust, personify their business and engage with their current patients. If your dental practice has not embraced video marketing, feel free to contact Creativedge to discuss how we can help.
